Andrew Taylor has been featured in two leading industry titles – Private Equity News and Real Deals – discussing the Montagu acquisition of Capita’s school management software business, a deal worth £400m.

Andrew comments on the level of interest that the Competition and Markets Authority might take, considering it likely to take a close look at this deal to ensure that the merged SIMS/Parent Pay cannot squeeze other education software providers out of the market.

Issuing a warning about the acquisition, he notes: “There have been at least three previous complaints to the UK competition authorities about SIMS, and while none were upheld they are a pointer to possible concerns about this deal.”
